Training and Information Centre

DeBeer Refinish has a number of Training and Information Centres (TIC) worldwide. The central TIC is located in Lelystad, The Netherlands, at the same location as the Valspar bv head office. The most important tasks of TIC are:

• Co developing and testing products
• To train customers

Testing products takes place in TIC but also on location. One way of doing these tests is by setting up a test market to see what the reactions are of a number of customers. The test period of a product can vary from a few weeks to several months.

Training customers is another important TIC task. Courses are taking place in all TIC’s worldwide. There is a choice of different courses but most courses that take place are product courses. During these courses people are being taught how to work with DeBeer Refinish products. These courses are taught in a language that all people who are taking part in the course understand.

Besides product training we also have colour courses where students learn all kinds of things about colours and about working with colours.

TIC employees also deal with other things besides the tasks mentioned above, such as:

• Checking information on the technical datasheets
• Answering questions from customers
• Product demonstrations
• Making competitors analysis
• Solving all kind of problems

All in all TIC is a very versatile department where there’s always something to do.
